Travel

We are looking for courageous designs from all over the world that examine the topic in an intense and creative manner – be it product-oriented or process-oriented. Travelling in all its different forms – as a holiday, business trip or pilgrimage, a scientific excursion or even a virtual journey – can evoke a host of approaches and questions. This can result in inventing new services, suggesting innovative action or user strategies but also in designing useful products for travelling or visualising different scenarios.

„As an emotional event, travelling nourishes our senses. It can further self-awareness or make us reflect upon other worlds. Travelling combines impulse and action, motion and emotion, impression and expression – and it can raise your blood pressure. Travelling is more than mechanically supported movement by means of car, train, plane, ship, or other. In the first place, it means movement of the self, desire and generally change.
Every journey is different and has its own history but at the same time, they are all based on the same transition ritual: departure – passage/ being on the road – arrival." Paolo Bianchi
