Impulses for DesignPreis Halle came from the economy of the Halle Region as well as from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. After the successful launch of Designpreis Halle in 2007 with a total of 19,000 visitors, now they have founded a registered society with the name Designpreis Halle (Saale) e. V.
